From the Grade I Listed Oriel Chambers on Water Street, the studio delivers client-focussed, design-led solutions for the commercial, residential and cultural sectors in the North-West and beyond. Matthew Ashton RIBA is a Chartered Architect and Creative Director of MgMaStudio Ltd. Born in Preston, Lancashire, Matthew arrived in Liverpool to study Architecture in 2000, marking the beginning of a strong bond with the city. After completing his studies at the University of Liverpool, Matthew worked for Hugh Baird College and A2 Architects in the city, returning also to the University to teach part-time in the School of Architecture. Matthew was elected to the RIBA in March 2011 and established MgMaStudio in Liverpool in August of that year with architect Mathew Giles. Matthew enjoys the varied cultural life of the city, attending regularly exhibitions, events, and the Liverpool Philharmonic.
Mathew Giles RIBA is a Chartered Architect and Finance Director of MgMaStudio Ltd. Mathew hails from Stilton, Cambridgeshire, choosing Liverpool to study Architecture in 2000. He worked for A2 Architects in the city after completing his studies at the University of Liverpool. Mathew was elected to the RIBA in March 2011 and went on to found MgMaStudio with architect Matthew Ashton, in August of that year. A keen footballer, Mathew regularly turns out for the Port Sunlight Nomads, for whom he is also Club Secretary, and he completed the Liverpool marathon in 2011.
